Helping Daytona Beach patients explore new treatments for heart & kidney health through safe, expertly managed clinical studies.
We are conducting a research study to learn more about a new oral medication called AZD4144 for people who have heart and blood vessel disease (atherosclerosis) along with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The purpose of this study is to see how safe the study drug is, how well it is tolerated, and how it works in the body.
Participants will be randomly assigned (like flipping a coin) to receive either the study drug or a placebo (a pill with no active medication). Neither you nor the study team will know which one you receive during the study.
The study will last about 12 weeks and includes:
A screening period (up to 28 days) to see if you qualify.
A treatment period (28 days) where you will take either AZD4144 or placebo by mouth.
Two follow-up visits (around Day 35 and Day 56 after your first dose).
By joining this study, you will receive study-related medical care from our experienced team at no cost.
