Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Study
About This Study
We're enrolling adults living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in a clinical research study evaluating a potential new treatment under Protocol AMBTX-01-301. This study is sponsored by Ambros Therapeutics.
CRPS is a rare, chronic pain condition that typically develops after an injury, surgery, or other trauma — often affecting a hand, arm, foot, or leg. The pain is frequently severe and disproportionate to the original injury, and many people living with CRPS aren't diagnosed for months or even years because the condition is so often misunderstood.
If you experience burning or stabbing pain that wasn't fully explained by your original injury or surgery, you may have CRPS — and you may qualify for this study. Participation is completely voluntary. All study-related visits and care are provided at no cost.

Clinical Trial FAQs
What is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)?
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic pain condition that typically follows an injury, surgery, or other trauma — most often affecting a hand, arm, foot, or leg. The pain is usually severe, burning, or stabbing and is often far worse than the original injury would suggest. CRPS is rare and frequently underdiagnosed, meaning many people live with it for a long time before receiving a correct diagnosis.
What are the symptoms of CRPS?
Common symptoms of CRPS include:
Burning or stabbing pain, often in a hand, arm, foot, or leg
Pain triggered by light touch or temperature changes
Swelling in the affected limb
Changes in skin color, temperature, or texture
Pain that started after an injury or surgery and never fully went away
Do I need to have a CRPS diagnosis to join this study?
Not necessarily. Many people who qualify for this study haven't been formally diagnosed with CRPS yet — the condition is frequently underdiagnosed. If you've experienced persistent, unexplained burning or stabbing pain after an injury or surgery, our team can help determine whether you might qualify during the screening process.
Is there a cost to participate?
No. All study-related visits, procedures, and care are provided at no cost to participants. Health insurance is not required.
Will I be compensated for participating?
Yes. Participants may receive compensation for their time and travel. The exact amount depends on the number of visits and study requirements.
How do I join the CRPS study?
Fill out the form on this page or call our Daytona Beach site. Our research team will walk you through a brief screening to see if you meet the study requirements. The process is quick and confidential.
